At South Shore Women’s & Children’s Hospital, we offer comprehensive care for expectant mothers and their babies throughout their pregnancy, during the birth and after the delivery.

Our antenatal care package includes regular check-ups for the mother-to-be, tests, antenatal classes , detailed ultrasound scans to monitor the growth of the baby and many more.

DURING YOUR PREGNANCY

During your pregnancy you will be scheduled for regular appointments with your obstetrician, who specializes in caring for women during pregnancy, labour and after the baby’s birth. You will also get a routine ultrasound assessment of your unborn baby, usually at 12 and 20 weeks of pregnancy, as well as regular growth scans, gender review and many more depending on your antenatal package.

We also host monthly virtual Antenatal Classes, these classes are educational and fun. It is also a community for expectant moms and dads to come together to learn, share and motivate each other with the help of our experts.

DURING THE BIRTH

Depending on your birth plan as discussed during your antenatal visit or in case of any emergent changes our team of consultant Obstetricians and Gynaecologists are skilled to ensure you have a safe delivery.

We also offer epidural/analgesia to help with labor pain if requested by a patient.

AFTER YOUR BABY IS BORN

Our paediatrician, who specializes in the care of babies and children, will be on hand during the birth and can check your baby afterwards to reassure you that everything is OK. They will be able to diagnose any problems and advise you about how these may be treated, as well as offering routine immunizations.
