  • Can I just walk in anytime for a specialist consultation?

    You could, especially in emergency cases.

    A doctor is always here to see you, but we prefer you book an appointment, you can call our customer service lines or fill out the appointment form on this website. You will be contacted by a customer service personnel, who will inform you about your date, time and any other information.

  • I have been referred to South Shore from my IVF centre, what is the next step?

    You will need to book an appointment to get an initial consultation and assessment. This is necessary for us to confirm that we will be able to go ahead with the procedure as advised. If you have been given a referral letter or a medical report, you can send a scanned copy to our doctors to preview – doctor@southshorewch.com before you come in, especially if you are coming from out of town. This may help us to provide you with more information. We do our best to ensure that you are referred back as soon as possible.

  • What kind of surgical procedures do you do?

    We perform all routine and specialized obstetric and gynaecological procedures including Caesarean sections, Cervical cerclage, Open myomectomy, Abdominal hysterectomy, Hysteroscopic myomectomy, Hysteroscopic adhesiolysis, Hysteroscopic polypectomy, Laparoscopic myomectomy, Laparoscopic treatment of endometriosis, Laparoscopic ovarian cystectomy, Laparoscopic tubal ligation.

  • Do you open on weekends?

    We are always open: 24 hours a day, and 7 days a week, and there are clinics from Monday to Saturday. For both weekday and weekend clinics, we prefer that you book an appointment before coming in.

  • Can I just walk in at any time to see a Specialist?

    There is always a Consultant available for emergencies, but if it is not an emergency, to ensure you get to see a Consultant it is preferable that you book a clinic appointment before coming in.

  • Do you treat cases of infertility?

    Yes, we provide both primary and secondary treatment options; which includes medical management and surgical treatment for infertility caused by things like fibroids, intrauterine adhesions, hydrosalpinx, e.t.c. We get frequent referrals from fertility centres in and outside of Lagos for surgical management prior to an IVF or assisted reproduction procedure. However, we do not presently offer IVF and assisted reproduction services.
